Technical Manager
(Sarawak - Kuching)

Responsibilities:


To manage all ships’ repair and maintenance;
To monitor all ships’ performances and fuel consumption;
To scrutinize and verify all ships’ requisitions;
To monitor and update all vessels trading certificates;
To attend all vessels’ docking and survey, shipyard quotation and invoice negotiation;
To assist in the internal audits of the shipboard safety system;
To participate in the Management review meetings;
To plan vessel inspection programme / schedule;
To develop Plan Maintenance System (PMS) for each vessel and to monitor closely that the system is complied with onboard and works smoothly;
To work out additional maintenance schedule if he found the present maintenance system is not efficient enough;
To identify training needs for his department staff.

Requirements:
Advance Diploma in Marine Engineering;
Preferably a Class 1 Certificate of Competency (Foreign Going) and have served as Chief Engineer on board;
Minimum of 10 years experience in ship operations or ship management or ship repair;
Wide and vast experience in Ship building, Project Management and managing ship operations;
Possess effective leadership qualities, supports the building of institutional capabilities and demonstrates positive mindset and attitude.
