We are seeking independent, self-motivated and result-driven individual to join us as:

Responsibilities:

• Design of the front panel control software architecture for our test equipment
  
• Develop the keypad controller on a PowerPC with embedded Linux environment
  
• Product development for Test & Measurement Instruments
  
• Configuration management involving integration of software modules and appropriate operating systems into the overall instrument, performing functional tests and software tests, as well as analysing and eliminating errors
  
• Quality assurance

Requirements:

• Masters/Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Communications Engineering or Computer/Software Engineering
  
• At least 5-7 years’ relevant experience in object oriented software design and programming in C++, QT and UML for embedded systems
  • Professional work experience in software design and implementation at driver and board support package level
    
  • Professional knowledge of embedded processor architectures (PowerPC and PC-based architectures), real time operating systems, Windows XP Embedded and embedded Linux operating systems
    
  • Professional work experience in network technologies (Ethernet, TCP/IP, UDP)
    
  • Professional work experience in software architecture and implementation of GUI Software
• Proficiency in Visual C++, debugging tools and administration tools (e.g. version control software Clear Case)
  
• Basic knowledge of communications theory and digital signal processing
  
• Knowledge of digital and analogue receiver technology will be an advantage
  
• Strong passion for development
  
• Strong problem-solving skills
  
• Dedicated team player with strong job commitment
  
• Will be based in Germany for more than half a year after which occasional travel is a must
