Storage Engineers, Presales & Managers ($3500 - $15000)

Requirements:We are sourcing for Storage Engineers, Presales and Managers for Banks, Outsourcing, System Integrators (Professional or Managed Services) and MNCs.

Experienced UNIX System Engineers with good working attitude may apply. Training for ENTERPRISE STORAGE will be provided.

BACKGROUND
* 2 - 10 years : Enterrpise SAN, NAS and Backups on UNIX / WINTEL systems
* 2 - 10 years : UNIX (Solaris, AIX , HP-UX) or Windows Administration
* 2 – 5 years : Work for Banks, System Integration or MNC
* Professional Certifications (Optional)



ABILITIES (1 or more areas)
* Storage Administration for Wintel and UNIX platforms
* Monitors SAN, NAS & Tape backup components.
* Troubleshoot and resolve any capacity and performance issues
* Manage storage Provision Changes, Disaster Recovery, Documentation etc
* Work with various teams and adhere to SLA set for services and incidents management

* Binfile or Symconfigure changes
* Troubleshoot and modify storage subsystems to ensure all service levels are maintained.
* Host/Disk zoning, LUN masking, Fireware Updates
* Perl and shell scriptings
* Solaris, HP-UX or AIX Sysadmin
* AIX, Solaris or Veritas Volume manager

* Presales or Design solutions for Enterprise Storage infrastructure/ Archiving solutions
* Plan, Implement and Deploy new storage capacity
* Data migrations (e.g Host Based migration CX, DMX etc)
* Plan hardware and software requirement planning for future



TECHNOLOGIES

* NAS (Netapps, Advanced Functionality) or SAN (EMC ...)
* Enterprise EMC (Symmetrix/DMX-3, DMX-2000), Clariion, Celerra
* EMC Software Suites - ECC , SRDF, Powerpath, Timefinder, Snap, Clone
* Hitachi Storage Frames, Hitachi UPS, AMS Series
* Hitachi Software Suite – Truecopy, Shadow Image, Universal Volume Manager (UVM)
* HP storage products, HP Data Protector Backup
* Other storage - IBM Total/System Storage, NECi Storage, Fujitsu Eterus, Storage Tek
* Administration of SAN Switches (McData, CISCO MD or Brocade etc)
* Other Archiving Solutions or Storage Media
* Protocols - iSCSI SAN, Fibre Channel SAN, SMB (CIFS) and NFS etc
* Fabric Manager/Watch, MPRs, RAID, Fibre Channels, SATA, Storage Manager GUI, Tape etc
* Disk storage replication – Asynchronous / Synchronous / Semi-Synchronous


POSSIBLE WORK SCHEDULES

* Participate in 24x7 incident/pager rotation
* Either Follow the SUN (daytime shifts) or 24X7 Support(some rostered night shifts)
* Either occasional weekend or rostered weekend
