COMPETENCE DEVELOPMENT ADVISER – INSTRUMENT (JS08/14)

Responsibilities:

• Implements and manages Engineering Technicians Progression Scheme (ETPS).
• Supervises and coaches the ETPS Trainees.
• Maintains close collaboration with technical and operation supervisors regarding learning needs and addressing them with appropriate learning solutions. This support includes advice on the process of competency development such as Job Competence Profile (JCP); conducts Learning and Development Needs Analysis; guides and advises the effective implementation of staff competence assessment.
• Monitors and assists in the tracking of competencies developed for each individual staff within instrumentation engineering discipline. Update management information systems such as livelink, to reflect the discipline competency related data.
• Delivers or co-resource technical learning events which include off and on-the-job training, coaching and mentoring to ETPS (Instrumentation) discipline staff, other skillpool staff and contractors personnel.
• Develops a training program for identified target audience which include developing learning materials.
• Coordinates with internal and third party providers on operation functional competences and requirements.

Requirements:

• HND or degree in Instrumentation Engineering plus the following:-
• At least having 10 years experience in frontline maintenance (instrumentation) in the oil and gas industry. Experience in the LNG and refinery maintenance (instrumentation) is preferred.
• At least having 3 years experience as a supervisor.
• Must have experience on-the-job training and assessment in the context of competence based development.
