Responsibilities:
The incumbent is responsible for
- Follow up purchasing plan and coordinate purchase orders and payment with vendors
- Responsible for preparing and administering purchase orders to vendors for specific products
- Import and export coordination with suppliers, freight forwarder and 3PL warehouse
- Responsible for vendor communications regarding order status, delivery and costs
- Communications with freight forwarders for cost reduction, consolidation, import/export issues, shipment movement
- Work closely with broker, responsible for preparing, administering, and filing all customs documentation to ensure 100% accuracy and compliance
- Monitor inbound/RMA/Repair shipments, liaise with 3PL and verify inventory receipt
- Assistance in physical stock control, eg. cycle count
- Co-ordinate activities to solve ‘stop ship’ problems
- Resolve supplier invoice problems
- Maintain item master, pricing, and open PO databases
- Implement approved suppliers for consumable, packaging material and stationery purchasing
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Diploma in logistics management or business management related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Experiences in MS Office Suite and ERP systems
- Knowledge of all purchasing/logistic job functions and Customs requirements
- Excellent presentation and communication
- Knowledge of Singapore Customs import/export requirements, all Customs documentation completion and International tariff treatments
- Preferably to have experience in systems like Baan, Oracle ERP or SAP
