The Asian Football Confederation is the governing body for football in Asia. Founded in 1954, AFC is based in Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA. The Confederation's main task is the organization of football competitions across Asia, such as the prestigous Asian Cup and the AFC Champions League. In addition, AFC also organizes educational courses for coaches,referees, administrators and sports medical personnel. As part of its dynamic growth, since the launch of the "Vision Asia" football development program, AFC has been recruiting new human capital at its headquarters. Senior PHP Developer
(Kuala Lumpur - Bukit Jalil)

Responsibilities:

  • managing an in house football management system using Open Source technologies.
  • The system collaborates in all areas from football courses management to tournament management.
  • We are currently incorporating most recent methodology and technologies into the system including Zend Framework, PHP 5, Web 2.0, Ajax.
  • You will play a key role in the design and development of the system. You will be working as a team and closely together with the users of the system. You will have the opportunity to research and utilize latest methodology and technologies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
  • > 4 years experience in PHP development
  • > 4 years experience in HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Strong experience in object oriented programming
  • Strong experience in MySQL and database design
  • Experience with SVN or CVS is preferred
  • Experience with Zend Framework is preferred
  • Experience with Ajax and Web 2.0 design is preferred
  • Experience with Linux system and network administration is a plus
  • Communicative and open personality
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team environment
  • Good oral and written English communication skills
  • Required Skills: PHP, Mysql, Linux, Apache, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Optional Skill: ActionScript, SendMail, Java, C++
